Expo Chianti Classico 2018 in Greve in Chianti
The wine festival in Greve in Chianti, known as Expo Chianti Classico, is one of the most important events in the Chianti region, happening every year on the second weekend of September. This lively gathering of many businesses is organized by the Consorzio Chianti Classico.
The Expo Chianti Classico has a long tradition and really shows how deeply connected the region is to wine production. The event always takes place in Greve in Chianti's main square, Piazza Matteotti. This picturesque square is the perfect backdrop for showcasing wines and other local goodies.
Visitors get the chance to taste wines from tons of winemakers in the Chianti Classico region. This includes both well-known brands and smaller, family-run wineries.
