Beautiful but tiring: Three days of photoshoots in vineyards, cellars & more.

Eva-Maria Mrazek (Eva trifft)

www.NinaInChianti.com isn't just an online wine shop for Chianti Classico and other local goodies, as you probably know! On this website, you'll find tons of info about every winery, every wine, and all the spots around Panzano in Chianti. And of course, lots and lots of photos that show just how incredibly beautiful it is here! These photos capture the hard work of the winemakers, their unique quirks, and their character. That's exactly why I spent another three busy days in May with photographer Eva-Maria Mrazek (Eva trifft.) and copywriter Tanja Petritsch in and around Panzano.

“Giro da Nina”: Exploring the most beautiful spots in Tuscany

Gallo Nero in Panzano

We spent the first day of 'Nina's Tour' taking photos and doing research in Greve, the 'capital of Chianti Classico,' in charming Radda, and of course, in 'my' Panzano in Chianti. Even a rainy lunch break in the vineyards of Fattoria di Rignana was used for some Nina photos. After that quick midday rain shower, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds again – and we made the most of every last ray! The final photos of the day were taken during a stunning sunset at the giant Gallo Nero – the official symbol of Chianti Classico – which has recently been placed above the Gallo Nero in Panzano. You'll soon be able to see and read photos and stories about these places right here on the #NinaInChianti blog…

Two new wineries are coming soon to www.NinaInChianti.com!

Since I'm always on the hunt for exciting wines and wineries from around here, my shop will soon feature two new ones! First up is the innovative and organically run winery Poggerino in Radda in Chianti, owned by the super friendly Piero Lanz. One special wine you'll find from Poggerino, alongside three others, on www.NinaInChianti.com is the Chianti Classico „(N)Uovo“. As the name hints, this new wine ages in an „uovo” – an egg – specifically, a cement egg. The result? Absolutely amazing! And the photos of Piero, his colleague John, and the vineyards and cellars are just as perfect! The second winery that will soon be joining www.NinaInChianti.com with its wines is Tenuta Degli Dei – a winery owned by the Cavalli family. Yes, that's Roberto Cavalli, the famous Italian fashion designer! We had the pleasure and honor of exploring the vineyards and wine cellars with his son, Tommaso Cavalli. We got some wonderful photos from that visit too! The only ones who weren't quite cooperating with photographer Eva-Maria Mrazek were the trotting horses that Tommaso Cavalli breeds so successfully on the estate. Maybe it was just too hot for those magnificent four-legged friends on that muggy afternoon to gallop majestically across the paddocks between the vineyards…

Crazy rides with my Ape 'Carlotta'

Even more Nina in Chianti!

Oh, and by the way: I also got photographed during some crazy rides with my Ape 'Carlotta', in the meat cold room with my friend and star butcher, Dario Checchini, and of course, with lots of wine glasses, on many walls, and in front of many amazing views. You'll get to see the results of these three busy days over the next few weeks and months on www.NinaInChianti.com!
